The current events and projects organized in the Babelsberg Cultural Hall are sponsored by the city administration as the supporting public authority for the hall, and it is also home to various associations who are independent culture sponsors. In addition, other associations, clubs, citizens groups, families, and individuals can also rent the rooms in the hall for their own events.
The relatively small rooms themselves determine the type of events which can be held in the hall, to a large extent. Therefore, the focus is on events suited to a smaller and more intimate atmosphere (maximum of 70 participants).
The traditional repertoire for the hall includes puppet and marionette theaters, cabaret programs, small concerts, town hall festivals, and exhibits. A series of events like the Jazz-Blues-Series and the Babelsberger student films take place on a regular basis. However, we are continuously working on new projects and ideas and are open to whatever may be of interest to the citizens of Babelsberg.
