It is the objective of the GKSS Research Center to research and develop the fundamentals for the technologies of tomorrow. Research, development, and practical application are unified into a single entity here.
In the Teltow branch office of the GKSS Institute of Chemistry, the work is focused in particular on the subject of membranes for application in the fields of bio-technology and medical engineering. Interested visitors are able to obtain a glimpse into the research center's work either by appointment or during events such as the open-house days. The institute is a member of the Herrmann von Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers.
