Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration in Teltow

A small but successful team of scientists in the Teltow branch of the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration is primarily engaged in the development of polymers and composite materials. They are also working on the further development of characterization methods for polymers and composites.

This team assists companies and research institutes with the development of polymers, and introduction of new technologies and their adaptation to specific processing characteristics. In order to meet the need for scientific assistance, the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises in particular, the institute is equipped with new user-specific laboratories, a pilot plant for fiber composites, and the Technology Advisory Bureau for Polymer Composites. A variety of services are offered to the industry.

The group of researchers work in close co-operation with non-university institutions and universities. There is a particularly close collaboration with the chair of Polymeric Materials at the Brandenburg Technical University in Cottbus.
