The Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Polymer Research (IAP) develops products in the fields of natural and synthetic polymers, polymers for the electronics industry, and water-based polymers.
In addition to the development of materials (thermoplastics, composite materials) and process optimization for production (fibers, foils, granules), polymers tailored with special functional properties are also developed for optical and electronic applications.
Other products of the Fraunhofer IAP are polyelectrolytes, amphiphile polymers, and polymer colloids for bio-medicine, cosmetics, water treatment, and optics.
