The Flatowturm Tower in Babelsberg park was built between 1853 and 1856 with stones from the former princely estate in Flatow (Western Prussia). The Eschenheimer Torturm (gate tower) in Frankfurt/Main served as its model. The neo-gothic look-out tower stands 46 metres high amidst a pool, which is of importance in itself for the watering of the park. At one time, the Flatow tower served to accommodate guests.
