The Potsdam city administration organizes and supports numerous cultural projects and exhibits. Major venues for exhibits on fine arts are the Old Town Hall, the 'Ticket Gallery' of the Nikolaisaal hall and the pavilion on the Freundschaftsinsel (Friendship Island). There are also the exhibit rooms belonging to the various art clubs and independent sponsors.
