The education and training of the next generation capable of filling jobs across practically the entire spectrum of the media market is the chief task set for the Hochschule Konrad Wolf - the Academy for Film and Television (HFF) - in the 10 courses of study currently being offered.
Along with this program, the HFF provides diverse cultural activities for the public. The HFF holds an open series of public lectures on special subjects, film screenings with subsequent discussions, exhibits, theater performances, open-house days, film Sundays, and last but not least, each spring the famous international student's film festival 'SehSüchte' - a play on the German words for 'see' and 'aspirations.' In addition to all this, the HFF building, a palace of glass, concrete, and steel, has become a beloved events venue for outside organizations in the Babelsberg media city.
