The Welcome Center, also located directly at Erlenhof32, is a point of contact for individuals with a migration background who are seeking assistance. We are here for people who have had to flee to Germany, as well as for citizens of the European Union and workers from abroad. Our services include:
- Finding Good Employment – We assist with entering the job market.
- Learning German and Further Qualification – Together, we will find the right program for you.
- Support in All Life Situations – We provide help with questions related to housing, health, and living in Potsdam.
Our consultations are conducted by professional advisors. We speak various languages and can arrange for interpreters if needed.

Our free consulting services are aimed at:
- Individuals of all ages in psychosocial conflict situations,
- People with mental health issues and substance use disorders,
- Relatives and contacts of individuals with mental health conditions.
We provide on-site consultations and assist you in finding long-term and sustainable help through low-threshold, inpatient, partial inpatient, and outpatient treatment and support services.

Are you facing the risk of losing your home? The specialized staff of the Housing Emergency Service of the state capital is here to support you with your concerns. Our primary goal is to help you retain your home and ensure your energy supply. Our services include:
- Assistance with Threatened Loss of Housing – Whether it's a termination notice, eviction lawsuit, or impending forced eviction, we are here to help you!
- Without Heating or Electricity? We provide advice on threatened or already executed disconnection of energy supply.
We offer confidential consultations. In our advisory sessions, we will identify the causes of your situation. Together, we will plan and implement the next steps to achieve sustainable solutions.
We work closely with major landlords in Potsdam, energy and water suppliers, as well as the job center. Together, we ensure that you can access additional support services.
