The Statistics and Elections department monitors and analyzes the development of urban structures and areas using statistical information, and conducts municipal surveys. To support this, information systems have been set up in areas such as population, social issues and health, housing and construction, economy and labor market, transportation, and various spatial observation systems for the state capital Potsdam, which contain extensive data collections.
This department is responsible for organizing elections, referendums, and the census in Potsdam.
