In 2025, the Department of Culture and Museums of the City of Potsdam once again awarded funding for the implementation of cultural festivals, aiming to preserve and enrich the diversity of the city’s cultural offerings. A total of 25 applications for festival funding were submitted for this year.
Due to the yet-to-be-approved city budget for 2025, the available funds for festival support are lower than in previous years. As a result, 13 festival formats will receive funding from the City of Potsdam’s festival support program.
The well-established festivals LIT:potsdam and Fête de la Musique will also take place in 2025. Starting this year, they will receive permanent annual funding for the first time.
