Heiliger See (Holy Lake)

The Heilige See ("Holy Lake") is a landscaped park lake, artificially connected to the Jungfernsee via the Hasengraben canal. Its shores are largely undeveloped. Public access is limited to the areas within the Neuer Garten (New Garden) park. On the eastern shore, private residential gardens extend all the way to the water’s edge. Due to its central location and relatively good water quality, the lake is heavily used for swimming. Dense reed beds (Röhricht) are only found along the northern shoreline.
