Filmpark Babelsberg ... and action!

Every year between Easter and Halloween, the theme park near Berlin invites visitors into the world of cinema and TV.

Everything related to film is brought to life here for visitors: sets, props, costumes, and technical equipment. Film craftsmanship, history, and modern production are showcased through more than 20 program highlights. The main attractions include the outdoor film set tour, the indoor guided tour of film sets and props, and, of course, the unique live shows: during the stunt show at the volcano, visitors can marvel at action-packed car chases, body stunts, and explosive special effects. The "Western Show" transports audiences to the Wild West of the 19th century. And for anyone curious about the chaos of a crazy film and TV shoot, the show "A Very Crazy Filming Day" is a must-see!

Pure thrills await in the short films at the 4D action cinema and the interactive XD experience "Dome of Babelsberg." Action-hungry guests will get their fill here. Screaming is allowed, but don’t forget to buckle up! The youngest visitors will also have a great time: exploring the witch’s house from Hansel and Gretel, playing on the jungle playground, or taking a boat ride through Panama – Janosch’s dreamland. Culinary delights are served at the "Prinz Eisenherz" restaurant, where guests can dine in a medieval atmosphere surrounded by original props from the 1997 movie of the same name.

In addition to the regular Film Park program, a variety of tours, exciting workshops, and presentations are available for groups and individual visitors, offering deeper insights into the work of film professionals. These include the “How a Film is Made” tour, an introductory workshop with stunt professionals, and KLASSE(N) FILME(N) – a complete film shoot experience designed for school classes. Film-worthy children’s birthday parties can also be celebrated here.

Gothic Library

Idyllically located on the southern shore of the Heiliger See, the Gothic Library - built in the late 18th century - long served as a library. Today, the Gothic Library is once again a true architectural highlight. From the tower’s arcaded gallery, visitors can enjoy a magnificent view of the Heiliger See and the Marble Palace
