The Potsdam Volkshochschule adult education center (Vhs) offers courses and lectures for the young and old on the following subjects: history, politics, geography and culture, creativity and crafts, vocational training, German as a foreign language, foreign languages, EDV, environment and nature, health promotion, youth evening classes, and seniors' evening classes. The offerings provide both theory and practice.

The courses are held both in the main Vhs building in Dortustraße 37 and also the branch facilities located at the SternZeichen (star signs) house, Galileistraße 37-39.
