Literature events are part of the colorful spectrum produced by the many organizers of cultural life in Potsdam. Readings, book premieres and literary-musical events are a living reflection of the literary landscape. They clear a space for discussions and exchange of literary and artistic questions, but they also offer a podium for the discussion of current social subjects.

In addition to the libraries and book shops, there are also some rather unusual places available as literary resorts: cafés, galleries, and gardens. The Brandenburg Literature Office, the Literature Collegium Brandenburg, and the Friedrich Boedecker Circle offer a broad palette of subjects and authors.
