sehsüchte is the largest student film festival in Europe. sehsüchte is committed to young, innovative film of all stripes, and offers filmmakers from around the world an international platform. Youthful entrants can make contacts with other students and industry representatives and present their films for the first time to a broad public. sehsüchte draws around 10,000 visitors each year.

Juries staffed by industry professionals award the prizes. Alongside the classic categories of feature, documentary, and animated film, we will again be celebrating the best entries in innovative script ideas and film financing.

Podium discussions, parties, concerts, open forums, and workshops will accompany the multi-faceted film program.

Every year the students of the Academy of Film and Television "Konrad Wolf" in Potsdam-Babelsberg will conceive and organize the festival. The core team is recruited from the students in the AV Media Science department.
