The University of Potsdam
The University of Potsdam was founded in 1991. Its current enrollment is 17,000, 10 percent of which are foreign students. The University of Potsdam is the largest institution of higher education in the state of Brandenburg and is the most beautifully situated of all academic institutions in Germany.

Civil servants, clerks, and other staff members of the municipal administrations in the State of Brandenburg are trained and given further education at the Brandenburg Municipal Academy.
SparkassenHochschule (Savings Banks' College)
On April 1, 2003, the SparkassenHochschule was founded in Lichtenwalde in Saxony and simultaneously established facilities in Potsdam.
