Support for Investments

Investing in Potsdam is worth it. Extensive financial assistance is available from the European Union, the federal government, the state of Brandenburg, and the city of Potsdam for investors, start-ups, and companies either already in Potsdam or interested in relocating here. This support is generally provided for creating and securing jobs, the introduction of innovative techniques and products, or market acquisition.

All of the support programs involve partially non-repayable grants and, above all, low interest loans. There are other support instruments as well: loan guarantees (if you do not have sufficient collateral) or equity participation (if you are planning an unusually high-risk technology project).

Important:
Applications must be submitted before the project begins.
If you want to take advantage of one of the support programs, you need to submit an application before you start your project. As a rule, no funding is granted to projects already underway.
